NPO ASHA = Asian Sustainable Holistic Approach occasionally organizes seminars and briefing sessions for local people, and these are led by Dr. Teruo Miura (Sam Higgingbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology & Science, Makino School of Continuing and Non-Formal Education, Dean) as well as other ASHA related members.
We hope that Japanese people would understand the agricultural realities of India and would contribute to the developmental education, local education, and international relations through these briefing sessions, seminars and other activities led by ASHA.

On June 2010, ASHA hosted an event called “Let’s Gather around the Sunken Hearth and Listen to the Stories of India” at a rural guest house COZY at Iwaki City in Fukushima Prefecture. We had over 20 participants. We received explanations on the ASHA activities and projects from Dr. Teruo Miura and Mrs. Takako Miura, and made chai together with the participants who wish to learn. After the main event, those who stayed the night at COZY had a great time talking about India around the fire until late night.

Those who wish to organize such events, please kindly contact our main office.
